What We Believe

We are non-denominational due to the way our church started. However, this does not mean that we do not believe in denominations. In fact, we believe that the diversity created by the differences in beliefs and cultural backgrounds are beneficial to the whole body of Christ, as long as each community of faith respects and accepts such differences with love, while believing in redemption through Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:19-22).
We accept "The Apostles' Creed" though we do not confess it during the service as some churches do. We firmly believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and know that he died for our sins and was raised from the dead three days later (John 3:16, Rom 10:9-13, 1 Cor. 15:3-4, Eph. 1:7, etc.).
We emphasize the importance of the written Word of God, the Bible, and accept both the Old and New Testaments as the holy Canon inspired by His Spirit (2 Tim. 3:16, Heb. 4:12). We believe in its inerrancy, while at the same time accepting minor corrections as a result of studies done on textual variants (Luke 1:1-4)
As people living in the Church Age, we also emphasize the work of the Holy Spirit necessary for the completion of our salvation on earth (Eph. 1:13-14). This does not mean that redemption through Jesus is not enough for our salvation, but simply means that the Holy Spirit helps us as "another counselor" in carrying out our mission as God's children and Christ's disciples (John 14:15-21, 16:5-11).
