At 26 years of age, she has performed with the L.A. Philharmonic, Fort Worth Symphony, Utah Symphony, Nagoya Philharmonic and Shanghai Philharmonic under such conductors as Lalo Schiffrin and Harth-Bedoya. She placed 1st at the L.A. Philharmonics Kaper Awards, 2nd at the National Chopin Competition, Best Mozart Concerto Prize at the Shanghai Intl Competition, 2nd at the Hodges International Competition, 5th at the Bachauer Intl Competition, and Audience Favorite at the New Orleans Intl Competition. Last year, she was a finalist at the Nagoya International Competition and also won 3rd place at the Città di Cantù International Piano Competition in Italy, playing Mozart Concerto No. 23 and Rachmaninoffs Third Piano Concerto. She gave her debut recital at Carnegies Weill Hall in 2002 and appeared four times on the TV program Musical Encounter.
She entered the undergraduate program at Juilliard at 15 years of age, where she studied with Yoheved Kaplinsky and received the Horowitz and Cliburn Scholarships. She graduated with a Masters Degree in 2004. She currently serves in the music ministry at Davar Church in Pasadena California and takes care of four cats at home. |
